The USAID-supported VRIDDHI is a technical partner to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India to scale up Government of India’s RMNCH+A strategy. VRIDDHI supports six state governments of Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab and Uttarakhand and 30 high-priority districts (HPDs) therein to scale up RMNCH+A interventions.

The support provided by VRIDDHI aims to bridge the gap between policy and implementation through training and capacity building of health service providers, increased engagement with local facility level stakeholders, evidence sharing for informed decision making and effective dissemination strategies. It also provides inputs to the state counterparts to prepare state specific implementation guidelines. Additionally, the VRIDDHI supported National RMNCH+A Unit assists the Ministry in monitoring and supervising the implementation of the RMNCH+A strategy nationwide, across all 184 high-priority districts of the country.

VRIDDHI provides technical assistance through a team of public health professionals placed at national, state and district levels. JSI leads the project’s child health and immunization activities; contributes toward mentoring the Project Technical Support Unit (PTSU), State RMNCH+A Units (SRU), and district coordinators introducing innovations in RMNCH+A service delivery.
