Margaret Franckhauser has more than 35 years of experience in the fields of aging and community health. Before joining JSI, she was a consultant with community-based aging service organizations and launched NextFifty Initiative, a grant-making foundation dedicated to aging in Colorado. Prior to that, Margaret spent 20 years as the CEO of a New Hampshire community health organization offering home health, hospice, and home-based supports to older adults and home visiting services to fragile families. She has worked with national and state legislators to draft legislation that enhances care to all populations, and served on the board of two health foundations. Margaret has a BA in nursing from Catholic University in Washington, DC, a masters in primary care nursing from the University of Maryland, and an MPH from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
