The state of Delaware is home to four Federally Qualified Health Centers that play a critical role in the state. The Delaware Health Care Commission (DHCC), in coordination with the Mid-Atlantic Primary Health Care Association (PCA) and the Delaware Primary Care Office (PCO), hired JSI to conduct market research that assisted the health centers throughout the state in improving their services by better understanding their patients and the community at large. This project was a continuation of market research conducted in 2006. The objective of the project was to use the 2006 survey instrument to collect data from key health centers. The survey provided data on patient satisfaction and community perceptions of non-users of the health center. JSI worked with each health center to identify their objectives in how the survey data will be used, train staff of the Mid-Atlantic Primary Care Association to collect the data, and perform the analysis of the data. The results of the survey research provided the health centers with information on priority areas to improve satisfaction of their patients and information on community perceptions that assisted in developing outreach and marketing campaigns.
