Join JSI at the Circle of Harmony HIV/AIDS Wellness Conference

JSI will be at the Circle of Harmony (COH) HIV/AIDS Wellness Conference on April 19–21 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This year’s theme is Comprehensive Approaches to Healthier Communities: Integration of STD, HIV, Hepatitis and Harm Reduction Prevention and Services. JSI expert Hannabah Blue will give the welcome remarks and be the mistress of ceremonies.
The purpose of the #2017COH is two-fold; 1) to educate Native Americans of all ages about good health, HIV infection and behaviors that can lead to infection, and; 2) aprise health care service providers of current approaches to provide HIV-prevention and care services to Native American clients and patients.

Social Media for Communication about HIV

Drop in for personalized technical assistance on using social media for communication about HIV. JSI staff from AIDS.gov will be on hand to answer questions about social media and communication strategies to reach communities disproportionately affected or at risk for HIV.
Communicating Information on Hepatitis C and HIV Prevention Integration

This session will provide basic information and considerations for HIV-prevention organizations to integrate hepatitis C prevention. In addition, in the coming year, JSI will create materials and presentations to provide this information to community-based organizations. Participants will inform the content, formatting, materials, and dissemination methods best for reaching tribal communities.
