We are pleased to announce a new project to ensure books and other learning materials reach children and families, particularly those who live in hard-to-reach places. The World Bank Track and Trace 5-Country Read@Home project will help countries strengthen their monitoring systems to improve textbook distribution to schools and homes.

Many countries are unable to ensure their young students have reliable access to good-quality textbooks. Building on recent lessons, JSI and our affiliate World Education will develop a user-friendly guide of best practices in textbook monitoring in low- and middle-income countries. This project will help five countriesCameroon, El Salvador, Niger, Senegal, Sudanadapt these practices to their own contexts so they can build robust, locally-owned supply chain monitoring systems to ensure delivery of textbooks to the families that need them most.
