Since the late 1980s, JSI has been assisting the government of Niger to improve health outcomes in the country starting with the implementation of the Resources for Child Health’s (REACH) initiative to control measles outbreaks through improved immunization systems in the country’s urban areas. JSI has since provided logistical analysis for the supply chain of Zithromax through the International Trachoma Initiative, and has been contracted by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to manage reproductive health commodities. JSI’s portfolio in Niger covers health issues ranging from family planning to disease prevention.
