Epidemiologist, International
David Boone is an epidemiologist at JSI in Berkeley, California who has worked on the MEASURE Evaluation project to strengthen the capacity of county programs to collect and use high-quality population and health data. He is the technical director of a project that conducts health facility assessments for service availability and readiness, data quality, and quality of care on behalf of The Global Fund. David has worked for the CDC in Nigeria on polio eradication, in South Sudan on trypanosomiasis epidemic control, and in Benin on guinea worm eradication. In the U.S., David has worked at the state and county levels as an infectious disease epidemiologist. He received a PhD in epidemiology from Tulane University.
