The Better Immunization Data (BID) Initiative is a bold effort to increase immunization coverage through country-owned, country-led politics, practices, and information system products that enable evidence-based decision-making. While the initial information system focus is on improving immunization service delivery and data capture, the project aims to create a technology platform that integrates seamlessly with existing national systems.
The Initiative will also go beyond the information system itself to address enabling environments that surround data collection, data quality, and data use, to ensure the most accurate information is made available for the best decision-making, initially around immunization programs.
The BID Initiative is led by PATH, and, with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation – PATH has brought JSI in to partner on the Initiative.
