Integrating TB and HIV Services – Results from STAR-EC Project

This infographic provides an overview of STAR-EC's approach and results integrating TB and HIV services in Uganda. Included are results that:

• The percentage of TB/HIV co-infected patients enrolled on antiretroviral therapy (ART) and cotrimoxazole preventive therapy (CPT) increased from 18% to 97%. 
• The percentage of laboratories able to perform TB-detecting sputum smears increased from 69% to 100%.
• The TB treatment success rate increased from 67% to 90%.
