JSI kicked off 2020 with a network meeting focusing on critical elements of a sustainable and vibrant national health information system (HIS).

We welcomed partner organizations from the Global Digital Health Network to our office in Arlington, VA to focus on building information systems and HIS capacity, as well as designing processes to promote information use. JSI is a founding member of the Global Digital Health Network Advisory Council, and Steve Ollis is currently serving as co-chair of the network.

JSI’s presentations included:

  1. Lessons learned across multiple country experiences of configuring and deploying DHIS2 at national scale,
  2. The launch of the Routine Health Information System e-Learning course and how countries/projects can take this freely-available resource and use the material, and lastly,
  3. How JSI is supporting countries to implement IMPACT teams (Information Mobilized for Performance Analysis and Continuous Transformation) to interpret data, prioritize problems, and find innovative actionable solutions to improve the quality of our work.
