Mark Kowalski has more than 25 years of experience managing public health and education programs in Africa and Asia. As director of the Boston International Group, Mark oversees JSI’s portfolio of bilateral health programs in more than 15 countries and the U.S.-based staff who support them. Mark started his career with JSI in 1999 and has served in senior leadership positions in the U.S., Zambia, and Uganda. Mark’s areas of expertise include capacity strengthening and HIV prevention and treatment and he is skilled at building partnerships with national governments, NGOs, and donors. Previously, Mark served as country director for World Education, Inc. in Cambodia. Mark was a Peace Corps volunteer in Nepal and holds Master of Arts and Master of Public Policy degrees from the University of Michigan.
