Gretchen Weiss has more than 15 years of experience with local, state, regional, and national projects. She provides leadership and technical assistance through JSI's federally funded projects focused on ending the HIV epidemic in the United States, integrating HIV prevention and care efforts, and improving systems of care for people with HIV and substance use disorder. Gretchen works to align JSI's work with the domestic HIV response and is a member of the Federal AIDS Policy Partnership Convening Group and represents JSI in other external coalitions. Prior to joining JSI in 2019, Gretchen was director of the HIV, STI, and Viral Hepatitis program at the National Association of County and City Health Officials. She began her HIV work as an enrollment coordinator for the Massachusetts HIV Drug Assistance Program. Gretchen received an MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and has a BA in political science from Colgate University.
