Region VIII IPP American Indian/Alaska Native Profile
The American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) profile was the first step in an attempt to address the gaps in documenting the epidemiologic and health care delivery profile specific to the Native American communities in each of the Public Health Service Region VIII states. The profiles served as the basis of strategic planning discussions where each state partnership was asked to review their state AI/AN profile and address the following questions: Who else is currently working with Native communities?, What successes have you had that you want to share?, What challenges or barriers have you encountered working with AI/AN communities?, What do you need to get started connecting to AI/AN in your area?
