The Rationale for Family Planning in Ukraine: Evidence from Europe, Eurasia and the US

Download this publicationAs of 2007, Ukraine's low Total Fertility Rate (the average number of children per family) paired with emigration had led to a decreasing population in the country, which, in the eyes of Ukrainian policy makers, damaged the case for increasing access to improved and modernized family planning services.

This document, produced by the Ukraine Together for Health project, argues the need for and advantages of accessible family planning based on evidence from the U.S., Europe, and Eurasia.
