Rapid Immunization Skill Enhancement (RISE) is a complementary capacity-building package to strengthen the ongoing training of frontline health workers engaged in routine immunization under the Universal Immunization Program of the Government of India. This user-centric model optimally leverages the high technology (mobile phone, internet) penetration among the health workforce and effectively uses digital training content supported by a face-to-face component of mentoring by supervisors. The digital part is primarily self-learning through objective-focused content based on adult learning principles that engage the learners through a variety of audio, animated visuals, reading, and interactions like learning games and quizzes. It also has a provision for objectively assessing the learning and certification to make it more attractive to the learners.
