The purpose of the consultancy is to gain a deep understanding of the prevailing funding landscape for gender and economic empowerment to inform future strategic directions for World Education’s gender and economic strengthening programming. Specific objectives are to:
- Estimate the market size for women’s economic empowerment programming opportunities and recommend priority geographic areas. This includes conducting a funder mapping.
- Conduct a competitor analysis identifying the top five organizations implementing women’s economic empowerment programs and their value propositions, geographic priorities, and main donors.
- Assess the strategic direction and identify future trends and opportunities in the donor landscape related to women’s economic empowerment.
- Develop recommendations to nuance and refine World Education’s strategic positioning on women’s economic empowerment in alignment with donor priorities and future trends and opportunities.
