John Snow Research and Training Institute Inc., through its World Education Division, seeks to engage an expert consultant to compile and document results achieved from the implementation of the Siyakha model.
Siyakha, a holistic workforce development model developed by World Education, is recommended by PEPFAR as one of the approved evidence-based models for comprehensive economic strengthening for adolescent girls and young women in DREAMS programming. World Education developed Siyakha through over a decade of experience and experimentation to identify what works for adolescent girls and young women to be able to successfully enter the workplace or engage in entrepreneurship. This adaptable model underscores the significance of the right skills set and support system, customized to actively involved adolescent girls and young women, their families or spouses. This approach leads to positive outcomes, even in economically constrained or informal settings. Presently, Siyakha is being implemented by World Education, Bantwana Zimbabwe, and numerous other DREAMS implementing partners in Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Bantwana Zimbabwe a local affiliate of World Education serves as the certified regional technical assistance provider for Siyakha, offering technical support and monitoring to all organizations implementing Siyakha within the framework of DREAMS.
