Timor Leste Health Improvement Project Final Report

This final report presents the activities and accomplishments of the Timor Leste Health Improvement Project. The vision of the project was to help develop a comprehensive, well-managed health service delivery system that improves the health of families, women, men, and children to be shared by all.

The report resents results achieved in strengthening the health system and services, including training health workers and supervisors in areas ranging from family planning, immunization, and maternal and child health. Approaches ranging from introducing the non-pneumatic anti-shock garment (NASG) to prevent postpartum hemorrage to engaging families and communities in safe motherhood and birth preparedness and readiness were successfully introduced.
