Strengthening Tuberculosis Programs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh Provinces

This technical brief was developed as an update regarding the USAID-supported Integrated Health Systems Strengthening and Service Delivery (IHSS-SD) Activity’s work to improve tuberculosis (TB) prevention, detection and response in select districts in Pakistan. The Activity’s interventions resulted in the destigmatization of and increased screening of TB, which led to identifying 243 cases that prevented an estimated 2,430 to 3,645 TB cases. The purpose of this report is to inform project fellows and donors; however, it is also useful for any who want to learn to implement TB interventions in places similar to Pakistan.
