This report reviews the gaps in the existing Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) incentivization system, especially those for immunization services, and provides technical support in developing standard operation procedures for reaping full benefit of immunization incentives.

JSI Research & Training Institute carried out a review to understand the gaps in existing ASHA incentivization system, especially those for immunization services, and to provide technical support in developing standard operating procedures for reaping full benefit of immunization incentives.

For this review, states and districts were identified based on scoring of immunization related indicators from reported HMIS data (2014-15 and 2015-16); as well as the most recent evaluation surveys (DLHS, AHS, NFHS) as applicable for different states. The field work was done by IMS Health & Consulting Services, an independent research agency with considerable experience in conducting similar health system related reviews in Indian states.
