The Mozambique CDS3 project includes three specific catch-up vaccination campaigns with all life-saving routine immunization vaccines in 2023 and 2024 to catch up on the missed doses among children under five (the main missed age cohort) during 2019 through 2022, particularly those defined as zero-dose. The catch-up vaccination campaign will be conducted in all provinces of the north (Niassa, Cabo Delgado and Nampula) and two central provinces (Zambezia and Tete) of the country, where, according to the situation analysis, most districts with more than 5,000 zero-dose children are concentrated. With the implementation of this plan, each district will strive to reach 90 percent Penta-1 coverage and 85 percent Penta-3 coverage of eligible children.
