Advancing Multi-Sector Approaches to Determinants of Health Including Domestic Violence

JSI will continue to work with the Blue Shield of California Foundation to expand two critically aligned streams of work:

• Developing a Business Case for Domestic Violence as a consideration in health care decision making
• Advancing Whole Person Care in California

In this next phase of the work, we will be providing customized and strategic evaluation and sustainability planning assistance to select multi-sector partnerships working on addressing DV/trauma and resilience building; reviewing and synthesizing literature on the relationship between DV/trauma and social determinants of health; and exploring strategies for engaging health plans as partners in on-the-ground initiatives.

Additionally, JSI will be looking to distill early learnings from California's Whole Person Care pilots and monitoring the ways in which the pilot counties are emphasizing prevention and "rising risk" populations.
