International Programs Executive Mustafa Kudrati Named Chief Operations Officer

JSI is pleased to welcome Mustafa Kudrati as chief operations officer for JSI and its affiliate World Education, Inc. Kudrati joins JSI with extensive operational and executive leadership experience in global public health and integrated health care.

The selection of Kudrati is the result of an extensive executive leadership search and recruitment process. As chief operations officer, Kudrati will oversee human resources, knowledge management, and information technology. His organizational change management background will also benefit JSI’s ongoing transformational change initiatives.

Throughout his career, Kudrati has held executive leadership roles at prominent international NGOs including Plan International, EngenderHealth, and Pathfinder International. In these positions, he managed health and development programs around the world.

Kudrati also is a member of the board of FP2030—the world’s largest partnership of funders, governments, civil society organizations, private sector contributors, and individual activists working to advance access to high-quality family planning services and information about reproductive health.

Earlier in his career, Kudrati co-founded a center for children’s rights that focused on popularizing the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child and became a model for serving at-risk children. He has an MA in public administration from Harvard University and a BA in interdisciplinary studies from Hamilton College. Kudrati was born and raised in Tanzania.
