Community health affects the stability of nations and the prosperity of families. Access to health services and family planning empower community members and help communities thrive. Strong community health systems have proven successful in reaching remote and underserved populations. Since 2012, the USAID-funded Advancing Partners & Communities (APC) project has worked in 40 countries to improve community health systems, with particular focus on family planning and infectious disease prevention.

Please join JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc., and FHI 360, along with the Wilson Center’s Maternal Health Initiative, for a discussion on the importance of community health systems. The event will highlight and include reflection on how collaborations with nongovernmental organizations, faith-based communities, government and private sector partners, and local communities improved the delivery of critical health services, lessons learned, and the next steps.
