On Monday, November 29, 2021 at 9 AM (GMT), our USAID Strengthening the Care Continuum Project with the support of the Ghana AIDS Commission (GAC) will host a webinar on the HIV/AIDS Joint Strategy to Achieve Epidemic Control in Ghana. The webinar will share strategies, best practices, and lessons learned to help the country reach epidemic control. This event will be part of World AIDS Day.

We invite you to join us via Zoom and using Zoom ID 964 2479 3517 and passcode 046031.

Our speakers include:

  • Kyeremeh Atuahene, Director-General, Ghana AIDS Commission
  • Sharon Cromer, USAID/Ghana Mission Director
  • Stephen Ayisi-Addo, Program Manager, National AIDS/STI Control Program
  • Heather Robinson, USAID/Ghana HIV Team Lead
  • Elsie Ayeh, Ghana Network of Persons living with HIV and AIDS (NAP+) President
  • Henry Nagai, Chief of Party, The Care Continuum

The Care Continuum works with the Government of Ghana to implement high-impact epidemic control strategies including index testing, targeted outreach testing services, and case management to support clients to antiretroviral therapy (ART). The project is also generating demand for viral load testing and implementing reminder systems to improve adherence.

Last year, we held a successful first webinar, which also was organized with a desire to accelerate epidemic control in Ghana.
