We are proud to announce that Dr. Susan Grantham has become our next new vice president of the Health Services division, leading the company in its extensive U.S.-based portfolio with public and private sector clients. She has taken over from Pat Fairchild, who previously served as the VP for the first 40 years of the organization.

Susan Grantham previously served as JSI’s director of U.S. business development and as a senior consultant focused on program evaluation and implementation research related to safety net services delivery. She came to JSI after serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Cameroon and after receiving her Masters of Public Policy from the University of Michigan. While at JSI, she earned her doctorate in Social Policy from the Heller School at Brandeis University with behavioral health as her main research area.

When asked about the future of JSI’s U.S. Health Services Division, Grantham noted that we will continue to strive to positively impact the health and well-being of individuals and communities. “We have deep expertise in both public health and the overall health system and where the two intersect. We work to build capacity at all levels – community, provider, systems – with aims of equitable access to high-quality health services and improved population health outcomes. This is where our staff’s passions lie.”

Going forward, Grantham notes that JSI will continue to work collaboratively with our clients and partners to address our country’s health priorities in such areas as health systems strengthening, HIV, reproductive health, chronic disease, mental health, substance use, and maternal and child health.
