Village Health Teams Improving the Management of Malaria in Children Under 5 Years In Uganda’s West Nile Region: A Case of Moyo District

Malaria remains a critical health issue in low and middle income countries, disproportionately affecting children under 5 years (CU5) and pregnant women. In Uganda's West Nile Region, with a population of 3.4 million, malaria prevalence is at 22%. Moyo District, located in West Nile, experiences extremely high malaria test positivity rates. This abstract highlights how trained village health teams support malaria case management. Published November 2024.
