Infographic: Vriddhi Contributes to Scale-Up of Kangaroo Mother Care in India

Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) is an evidence-based intervention to reduce mortality among small and sick newborns. Under the Vriddhi project, JSI provided technical assistance for KMC introduction and scale up in government district hospitals in two districts. Vriddhi's work informed a nationwide scale up strategy with the potential to reach nearly 550,000 small babies annually in two Indian states with KMC.
