This brief highlights the importance of integrating family planning (FP) and HIV services. The target populations for both FP and HIV services significantly overlap because women of childbearing age account for approximately 50 percent of those infected with HIV and AIDS worldwide. Effectively offering a broad range of family planning (FP) services at HIV sites requires both skilled personnel and commodities readily available when clients need them.
