Findings illustrate compliance of most intervention facilities with HCWM standards. Nonetheless, achievements in knowledge of transmission of infection by injection and health worker tetanus and hepatitis B vaccination are balanced by areas that could be improved, such as in injection preparation and commodity availability. In several instances, observations revealed discrepancies between on-the-ground practices and officer-in-charge or health worker reports of those practices that may be due to social desirability bias.
