AIDSFree Malawi End of Project Summary

This End of Project Summary presents The Strengthening High Impact Interventions for an AIDS-free Generation (AIDSFree) Project’s programmatic achievements in Malawi from August 1, 2014 to September 30, 2019. 

Managed by Jhpiego in Malawi, AIDSFree's programs advanced progress toward the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS’s 95-95-95 global goals. From October 2017 to September 2019, a total of 72,106 boys and men received safe, high-quality VMMC services—more than 56 percent in the priority age group (15–29 years).  Among the clients who accessed VMMC services, 53,031 of them were tested for HIV, with 162 clients newly diagnosed as HIV-positive.
