Despite reported improved coverage rates over the past several years, Mozambique still experiences wide inequities in coverage across and within provinces, and the improvements have stagnated recently. Additionally, significant inconsistencies in coverage rates exist between administrative data, WUENIC estimates, and the recent household Malaria, HIV/AIDS, and Immunisation Indicator Survey (IMASIDA) which cast doubt on immunization program reporting.
Reaching Every Community introduces micro-planning at the community/health facility level to monitor immunization status and identify children who have missed out on immunization, introduces innovative solutions to address inequities, and improves the commitment and allocation of resources to improve overall coverage.
