The Immunization Technical Support Unit (ITSU) is a designated extended arm of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MoHSW), Government of India, which is guided by the targets of MoHFW. JSI has been selected to lead the ITSU from 2017-2021. In this capacity, JSI is providing technical inputs to the MoHFW, in close collaboration and coordination with immunization partners, to help India accelerate progress in achieving 90% full immunization coverage by 2021. This third phase of the ITSU, which has been in effect since 2019, has an increased emphasis on transition planning of ITSU activities to the MoHSW.
