Rocking Horse Curriculum Evaluation and Re-Design

Rocking Horse is a 10-week program for pregnant and/or parenting women with the goal of reducing the risks of substance use. JSI conducted an assessment of the Rocking Horse Program, recommended changes, re-designed the curriculum, provided a training on using the revised curriculum, and identified methods to improve state oversight and management of the program.  The final product was a curriculum that maintained the components that stakeholders felt were working well and were supported by evidence in a user-friendly format along with an instruction guide.
