RI Ryan White Provision of Care Technical Assistance

For over 15 years, JSI has worked with  the Rhode Island Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS), Medicaid Division, HIV Provision of Care Unit, Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) staff in delivering detailed products, including a statewide comprehensive plan, as specified and required by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB). JSI works with RWHAP staff in the review and use of HRSA HAB and EOHHS policies, guidance, manuals, and provides technical assistance to RI EOHHS RWHAP and funded agencies related to Ryan White program services and requirements.

JSI provides support in the coordination and facilitation of the RI Consumer Advisory Board which advises and collaborates with EOHHS staff on a range of strategies, policies, and programmatic issues affecting the lives of people living with HIV.

Since 2015, JSI has worked with the RI RWHAP in the planning, development, and analysis of needs assessment data that are required for the Integrated HIV  Prevention and Care Plan. This includes a provider survey, consumer survey, focus groups, and resource inventory. In collaboration withRI RWHAP, JSI identifies requirements and key components of the HRSA/HAB Integrated HIV Prevention and Care Plan and  assists in the planning, facilitation, and providing technical assistance related to the integration of the Provision of Care Planning Body (PCPB) and the Rhode Island HIV Prevention Community Planning Group (CPG).
