The New Hampshire Alcohol and Drug Treatment Locator is an online directory that was created by JSI for use by primary care clinics, hospitals, families, and individuals to help those experiencing addiction to find appropriate services for the treatment of substance use disorder.

The directory was created based on an assessment JSI conducted to understand the capacity of practitioners and service delivery systems in New Hampshire to identify, treat, and support recovery from substance use disorders, Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Other Service Capacity in New Hampshire.

Utilizing the service providers identified through this assessment, New Hampshire's first directory was created for locating alcohol and drug treatment and recovery support service providers who offer evaluations, withdrawal management, outpatient counseling, residential treatment, recovery supports, medication assisted treatment and other services.

Launched in January 2015, the online locator allows providers and the general public to narrow search results by location, service type, population/specialties served, and/or payer. Search results may be printed to include provider contact information for referral organizations to share. Additionally, current listings may be updated and new listings can be added to the directory.

In its first 15 months, almost 20,000 new visitors came to the site, averaging 1,534 new visitors each month searching for substance use disorder services. Since the initial launch, 80 new providers have asked to be added; more than 300 providers in New Hampshire are now listed on the locator site.

The New Hampshire Treatment Locator was developed by JSI through its contract with the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services, Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Services.
