JSI Lends Expertise to Comprehensive Toolkit for Sexual and Reproductive Health Care in Emergencies
April 6th, 2022 | news
A new toolkit, Ready to Save Lives: Sexual and Reproductive Health Care in Emergencies, is a comprehensive guide on preparedness for sexual and reproductive health (SRH) in crisis settings. It brings together knowledge and learning on preparedness and SRH, providing an overview of key concepts and frameworks, assessment tools, case studies, recommendations, and additional tools and guidance.
The toolkit, intended for field testing, is a guide for in-country stakeholders looking to integrate SRH into emergency management and preparedness work.
Published by Family Planning 2030, the toolkit was developed in collaboration with JSI, International Planned Parenthood Federation, Women’s Refugee Commission, United Nations Population Fund, and Inter-Agency Working Group on Reproductive Health in Crises.
JSI supply chain experts contributed with the toolkit’s Learning Brief on Supply Chain Preparedness for SRH Commodities, which outlines key elements of supply chain preparedness. Practical steps guide program managers and logisticians on how to build resilience within their supply chains, such as mapping functions and resources, developing emergency protocols to maintain operations, and creating contingency plans for probable risks.
We strive to build lasting relationships to produce better health outcomes for all.
