JSI Commitment to Every Women Every Child Goals Featured
January 26th, 2018 | News
JSI has been committed to improving the health of women and children since the organization was launched in 1978. With the launch of the Every Woman Every Child initiative by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon in 2010, a global movement was created to mobilize and intensify national and international forces to address the major health challenges facing women, children, and adolescents around the world.
This month, JSI is pleased to be featured as a Business Impact Story on the Every Woman Every Child website highlighting the recent results of our commitment to the EWEC agenda.
With the launch of the Every Woman Every Child Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s and Adolescents’ Health (2016-2030) in 2015, JSI joined almost 100 companies from around the world to make a public, measurable commitment on how we will support EWEC’s goals—and thus the Sustainable Development Goals.
Since then JSI has produced annual reports on our accomplishments toward those goals. This month, EWEC features JSI’s 2017 achievements on its website and newsletter as one of four business impact examples, along with Adara Group working in Uganda, Banka BioLoo in India, and Discovery, a South African health insurance group.
