We are pleased to announce a new project to advance the accessibility and use of reproductive health private market data. The Reproductive Health Private Sector Market Data Pilot will support the provision of market insights to guide successful market interventions and ensure comprehensive access to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) care and products.

In many countries, the private sector is a significant and growing access point for clients seeking SRH services and products. While data on the private sector exist, they are limited, highly fragmented, and not collected or aggregated in a systematic way.

This project will test the feasibility of aggregating and organizing private market data, and assess the potential value of providing market insights to the SRH community. This seven-month project will focus on a limited scope of reproductive health products, private sector data, and geographies. In addition, it will outline considerations and requirements to establish, maintain, and sustain a more comprehensive data solution that can help expand and sustain SRH product availability through a healthy market.

The private sector is an important partner in helping women and men access high-quality SRH services and supplies. Yet for too long, poor visibility into private market data has limited the full potential of this sector. We are excited to work with the SRH community to help close this gap.” – Carolyn Hart, VP, International Division, John Snow, Inc.
