Arlington, VA.– Grace Chee will join the USAID MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity (M-RITE) as project director this month.

Ms. Chee, an expert in health system strengthening and maternal and child health programs, brings almost 30 years of experience in global health and extensive experience in Asia and Africa. Her broad expertise includes health system strengthening, health financing, immunization policy and immunization financing, program evaluation, public private partnerships, cost effectiveness analysis and NGO financial sustainability.

Prior to JSI, Ms. Chee worked at Results for Development, where she led the team that facilitated the Learning Network for Countries in Transition, a network dedicated to peer learning to support countries transitioning away from Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance Support.

Ms. Chee also led the health systems strengthening and equity team for USAID’s flagship Maternal and Child Survival Program (MCSP) and served on MCSP’s executive management team. She provided technical leadership to the program to incorporate health system strengthening approaches to improve equity, access and sustainability of maternal and child health programs in low- and middle-income countries around the world.

We are pleased to welcome Grace Chee, a leader in global health, who will build on JSI’s deep expertise in immunization and ensure that the USAID M-RITE project achieves its goals,” commented Carolyn Hart, JSI International Division Vice President.

Ms. Chee earned a BS in economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, and is fluent in both spoken Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese. She has worked extensively in Asia and Africa and recently lived in China for nearly seven years.
