As vice president of JSI’s Health Services Division, Susan Grantham oversees JSI’s extensive portfolio of projects in the United States. She leads diverse staff in eight U.S. offices who share a commitment to improving the health of individuals and communities throughout the country. Susan formerly served as JSI’s director of U.S. business development and brings this strategic focus to her position. Her technical areas of expertise include implementation research, mixed-methods research and program evaluation, policy analysis, and training and technical assistance. Throughout her career, Susan has applied these skills to improving health services delivery for underserved populations, most notably related to states’ health reform efforts, behavioral health, family planning, and women's and children’s health. Susan started her career as a Peace Corps volunteer in Cameroon. She joined JSI after receiving her master’s of public policy from the University of Michigan, and went on to earn her doctorate in social policy from the Heller School at Brandeis University.
