Michelle Samplin-Salgado combines technical and creative skills to conceptualize, design, and implement social marketing campaigns for local and state health departments across the United States and national efforts for the CDC, White House, HRSA, and DHHS. As digital director for HIV.gov (formerly AIDS.gov) since 2008, she implemented the blog, social media strategy, and the award-winning campaign "Positive Spin" that featured five men living with HIV. Michelle has 25 years of experience in health communications, public health, social marketing, graphic and website design, and social media. She was an adjunct professor at Tufts School of Medicine, where she taught a graduate-level course on health, design, and technology. She earned a BS in community health from the University of Arizona and an MPH from the University of Hawaii. Michelle was a Peace Corps volunteer in Ecuador, conducted research in Vietnam, and is fluent in Spanish.
