Med Makumbi is a development and public health specialist who has more than 20 years’ experience providing leadership and strategic direction to large, complex USAID-funded projects focused on HIV, TB, and malaria interventions in sub-Saharan Africa. His specialties include program planning and management, capacity building, and monitoring and evaluation. Med was the chief of party for the Northern Uganda Malaria AIDS & TB Program, which helped districts strengthen HIV service delivery and logistics management systems at health facilities. Med has an MA in development economics, a BA in statistics, and is pursuing an MPH.
