Joy Kamunyori has over 10 years’ experience leading and managing digital health technical activities across sub-Saharan Africa. She has held multiple positions requiring management of several technical and administrative staff, senior specialist consultants, and performance-based subcontractors. From 2013 to 2015, Joy was the deputy director of JSI's mHealth Center (the predecessor of the Center for Digital Health), providing technical expertise and direction and building internal capacity for and ensuring the application, review, and evaluation of established best practices and tools to JSI mHealth projects. Joy has a BA in computer science and economics from Vassar College and a master of computer science from the University of Virginia. She is also a certified project management professional.
