Tribal Health Consultant, U.S.
Hannabah Blue is Diné (Navajo), originally from Kirtland, New Mexico, and has expertise working with Native and Indigenous communities, LGBTQ+/Two Spirit populations, and youth on mental health, substance use, HIV and HCV, sexual health, sex trafficking, maternal and child health, and chronic disease. As a consultant at JSI, she conducts training, technical assistance, and evaluation with national, regional, statewide, tribal, and local organizations. Hannabah is project director for the Spirit Within Project, partnering with the Denver Indian Health and Family Services clinic to integrate cultural practices into its diabetes program, and for a project with the National Indian Health Board to develop HIV-related toolkits for tribal health programs. Hannabah received a BA from New York University in broadcast journalism and gender and sexuality studies, and an MS from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
