Babar Tasneem Shaikh has almost 25 years of experience in health systems and policy. Before he joined JSI, he was the technical lead at the Health & Population Think Tank in the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination in Islamabad, and gave technical and policy-level advice to the Director-General Health office and the provincial health departments. Prior to that, he was director of health at the Aga Khan Foundation. Babar is a medical doctor with an MPH from Ecole de Santé Publique from Nancy in France, a PhD from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, and a fellowship from Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh in the UK.
