60% of women who seek care at family planning clinics rely on the sites for their usual medical care. With 25% of US women and 20% of US teen girls reporting having experienced physical and/or sexual intimate partner violence, family planning providers are often challenged with screening and providing referrals for many of their clients.

JSI worked with the Boston Area Rape Crisis Committee (BARCC) to identify training and technical assistance needs among family planning providers around sexual violence, including reproductive coercion. The project included developing a workplan for a potential training of trainers program designed to provide ongoing and sustainable support on this topic to family planning providers in Massachusetts and the New England region.
