JSI worked with the HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Program in Santa Clara County, California, to conduct needs assessments for care and prevention services for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWH). The first HIV/AIDS services needs assessment surveyed 468 PLWH, the largest number ever surveyed in the County. The prevention needs assessment reached over 1400 high-risk individuals with a focus on men who have sex with men, injection drug users, high-risk women of color, and high-risk adolescents. JSI worked with the Santa Clara HIV Services Planning Council to integrate needs assessment data into the priority setting allocation process and to create a Comprehensive HIV Plan.
