Dental disease is one of the nation's leading health issues and has become what many experts call "the silent epidemic." Millions of people throughout the country suffer from the impacts of dental disease, which disproportionately affects low-income families, minorities, and the elderly.

JSI was hired by Delaware Health Care Commission to assist the State in assessing the feasibility of three high-impact strategies to address oral health workforce shortages and expand access to services for the state's most vulnerable populations. As part of this project, JSI conducted a comprehensive series of interviews and a review of best practices nationally in order to identify the most appropriate models. More importantly, JSI pursued a rigorous operational and financial analysis to determine the financial sustainability and estimate the impact of the models identified.
