The RI Department of Health (HEALTH) is committed to programs that reduce the number of new HIV infections, and to provide care and treatment services for RI residents who are HIV positive. In an effort to document the activities and outcomes of HIV prevention services, HEALTH requires all funded vendors to collect process and outcome monitoring data. JSI worked closely with HEALTH and funded vendors to build their capacity to collect required data, to use their data for program improvement, and to report this data. JSI has collaborated with HEALTH and its vendors, for over a decade, to ensure that HIV prevention programs are able to achieve HEALTH's data collection objectives, and to meet CDC data reporting and submission requirements.
